In 1970, I with my brother Les, and friend Harvey, set off from New Zealand to travel overland to England.
Our journey took us from Sydney to Singapore by ship, then by local transport and hitchhiking up through Thailand, India, Pakistan, Iran, Turkey, Greece, Italy, Germany, Belgium and finally to England. Sketching along the way was a great way to meet the locals and fill in time with the eternal waiting for public transport!
